For a freelance project with a startup in the cakes and desserts industry, I developed a dynamic website aimed at expanding their customer base. The website features three distinct sections, accessible through JavaScript panels, showcasing a delightful assortment of cakes, muffins, and cake pops. Customers can easily browse through the offerings and access past reviews to gain insight into product quality. Furthermore, the website includes an inquiry section, allowing customers to make inquiries directly, fostering seamless interaction between the brand and its audience.
Upon launching the application, users are welcomed by an inviting initial screen carefully designed to offer a minimalist yet intuitive experience. The interface features three sleek navigation options—Gallery, Reviews, and Contact Me—selected by the client to streamline user interaction.
Customers are welcomed by three engaging panels that gracefully animate upon interaction, enticing exploration with just a click. Each panel offers a charming display of past orders, featuring a tempting assortment of treats like cakes, muffins, and delightful cake pops. Leveraging JavaScript, these panels dynamically respond to hover actions, adding an interactive flair to the browsing experience. Additionally, hovering over the "See More" button triggers another JavaScript animation, smoothly expanding the selection to reveal more mouthwatering pictures of the offerings.
Customers can glean insights from recent reviews on cakes, muffins, and other delectable desserts, enriching their confidence in the quality of the offerings and enhancing the overall assurance for new customers.
The "Contact Me" section seamlessly connects new customers with the business, facilitating inquiries and order placements with ease. Behind the scenes, PHP efficiently handles the submission of essential information such as name, email, and message to the business email address. To ensure the integrity of the communication process, I've integrated a validation mechanism that discreetly identifies and filters out bots or spam messages. This proactive approach not only safeguards against redundant emails but also protects the business email from potential malware threats, ensuring smooth and secure interactions with customers.
Upon selecting "See More" on the panels, customers are transported to a captivating new page showcasing an extensive array of previous cakes. Here, the meticulous craftsmanship and innovative designs of our products are proudly displayed, offering a glimpse into the creativity that defines our brand.
Recognising the prevalent trend of mobile web browsing, I prioritised the seamless adaptation of the website to smaller screens. Employing JavaScript, I crafted a dynamic solution, introducing a sleek hamburger menu bar that elegantly prevents clutter at the top of the screen. Additionally, I implemented a user-friendly drop-down menu, offering intuitive navigation tailored specifically for mobile users. This meticulous approach ensures a seamless and enjoyable browsing experience across all devices.
